BU17 Blues to Compete for a National Championship!
Regional Champions
The BU17 Blue team earned an invitation to Virginia Beach later this month to compete for the US Club National Championship, after capturing the Regional Championship in Pittsgrove, NJ.
The boys won their first two matches 5-0 and 5-2. Needing just a draw in the third qualifying match, the team battled back in the second half and earned a 1-1 tie against a stubborn South Jersey Barons team. They won the championship match by a 4-2 margin, in a game that was played closer than the score might suggest.

GU12 Red Win Brockport Tournament in Dramatic Fashion!
Two Goals in the Final 5 Minutes Force Penalty Kicks
The Empire GU12 Red team finished their season in dramatic style by winning their Division at the Brockport International Soccer Festival. The victory was a fantastic finish for the team. The girls played great soccer and never lost confidence in themselves, and provided some great memories for the many fans who support the team all season long.
The Rochester Boys U11 Blue team were the undefeated champions in the Thruway League with 10-0-0 record. The boys had 61 goals for and only 3 against for the season. The team also went undefeated to win their U11 Empire Cup division in the Lakefront Classic. This is truly a huge accomplishment for a team of 11 year old boys.
BU17 Red Win Mason Dixon Cup
The BU17 Red team completed a great weekend of soccer by winning the final of the Hagerstown MD Soccer Club Mason Dixon Cup over the weekend of June 19th and 20th. The team out scored their opponents 10 GF to 2 GA throughout the weekend.
GU08's Go Undefeated in Empire Cup/Lakefront Classic
The GU08 team swept the GU9 D1 bracket at the Webster tournament. The team outscored opponents 17-5. A very good effort by the 7 yr olds and strong team play carried the day. "You will find no harder working team in our age bracket" their coach said.
The 16 Girls Blue team completed the colonial league schedule by recording a 1 – 0 win in Kirkwood Delaware over a strong FC Virginia FPYC Cardinals side. The girls went undefeated in league play to advance to the championship game that gained the team promotion into the Region 1 premier league for the 2011 season.
Empire United Girls Under 13 soccer team won the New York State West Youth Soccer Asociation’s State Cup Championship this weekend, propelling them into the Regional National Championship Tournament in West Virginia to be held over the 4th of July weekend. Two goals from Empire USA’s Shane Dobles earned spots in the US Developement Academy’s Spring Showcase Goals of the Week. Shane plays with Empire USA’s U16 team and is from Spencerport, NY.
