Empire United Girls Under 13 soccer team won the  New York State West Youth Soccer Asociation’s State Cup Championship this weekend, propelling them into the Regional National Championship Tournament in West Virginia to be held over the 4th of July weekend.  (http://www.region1.com/NatlChamp/main.htm) 

The team is made up of girls from all over Monroe County.  This is the 2nd year in a row that the team did not allow a single goal against them in the State Cup tournament!  The girls balance school, family, soccer and  being a teenager and have formed a great bond.  Most tournaments you will find them doing homework in the lobby - most recently this weekend as many are preparing for regents exams.
